The Cocoon Nebula, is involved with open star cluster IC 5146, and lies at the end of an interesting dark nebulae, B168. IC 5146 is an emission nebula located about 4,000 light years away toward the constellation of Cygnus. Van den Bergh 147 is the small reflection nebula just to the lower right of the Cocoon.
