Leo Triplet (M66 group)

This trio of galaxies in Leo is located at a distance of about 30 million light years. M66 is at upper left, M65 is below it at lower right, and NGC 3628 is at right. All are normal spiral galaxies, but NGC 3628 is seen edge-on, with a prominent dust lane obscuring the central portion of the galaxy. Image taken by VST (VLT Survey Telescope) in Chile.
