Artist's impression of Rosetta spacecraft launched on March 02 2004 intended to study the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The probe is expected to release the Philae lander on the comet's surface in May 2014 ; the lander will study the composition of the comet's nucleus.
