Located about 30 million light years from Earth, NGC 891 is one of the most photographed edge-on spiral galaxies in the northern skies. This image represents slightly over twenty hours of total exposure through a twenty inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope with a SBIG STL-11000 eleven mega-pixel camera.
